One person can make a big difference for shelter dogs. All you have to do is take the time to open your eyes and hearts. Rescue groups make the difference everyday by saving dogs that have run out of time!

What’s happening?

VOTE for your favorite ‘pet  organization’ by October 1, 2010 and have that organization win a chance to be featured in the upcoming family movie, “SMITTY”. The organization with the most votes will be featured (as a poster placement) in “SMITTY”. This opportunity will help gain exposure for your favorite ‘pet organization’ and help spread the word about a movie that spreads the message ‘ADOPT, DON’T SHOP.’

Don’t see your favorite organization? No worries, nominate your group by filling out the registration form.

Once your entry has been processed, you will then be able to VOTE for your favorite organization. Don’t forget to then e-mail all your friends to vote, too!

PRIZES

  • Grand Prize:  The organization with the most votes will be promoted by a poster placement in the upcoming family movie, “SMITTY”.
  • Eligibility for random prize drawing for pet supplies, once your organization accumulates 50 votes.
  • “SMITTY” movie poster for organizations that accumulate 25 votes or more.
  • Tickets to the “SMITTY” premiere will be awarded to organizations with the most votes.
  • Top 10 organizations will be highlighted in the DVD Special Features.
  • Other prizes to be announced.

Who can participate?

Voters: People of all ages are welcome to participate. Only one vote per person is accepted.

Organizations: The nominator of the organization must be 18 years or older and the nominee must be an organization for the well-being of animals. Only one entry per organization will be accepted. See Rules and Regulations for details.

When will the contest end?

Voting closes on October 1, 2010, after which date the winners will be tabulated.
